Christmas markets
The Prague Christmas Markets are open daily from 30 November 2024 to 6 January 2025 (from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.).
At the Prague Christmas markets, the air combines the magic of bright decorations, the smell of mulled wine and sweets, the sounds of Christmas carols, and the joyful noise of people, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of a magical Christmas fairy tale.
The main Christmas markets are held at the Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) and Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí) in the centre of Prague.
Smaller Christmas markets in the city centre are located in Náměstí Republiky, Náměstí Míru.

How to pay: cash or card?
You will need cash when visiting the Christmas markets. Some stalls accept cards, but definitely not all of them. From my experience, it´s 50:50 cash/card. Some places even accept euros (for example, some stalls on the Old Town Square). But don´t count on them; exchange some money or withdraw it from an ATM.
